Artwork specs
After you place your order, email your artwork to orders@itstartswithyou.vote (or just reply to your confirmation email). Files that follow these specs go straight to press — anything else, we'll flag before printing.
File checklist
- Format: press-quality PDF preferred. High-resolution JPG, TIFF, or packaged AI/PSD also accepted.
- Resolution: 300 DPI at final print size (150 DPI is fine for banners and large signs).
- Color: CMYK. RGB files will be converted, and colors can shift slightly.
- Bleed: extend backgrounds 1/8" (0.125") past the trim edge on all sides.
- Safe zone: keep text and logos at least 1/4" inside the trim edge.
- Fonts: outline/convert fonts to curves, or embed them in the PDF.
Political disclaimers
Most jurisdictions require a "Paid for by…" disclaimer on campaign materials. Requirements vary by state, race, and piece — your campaign is responsible for including the correct disclaimer in your artwork. Not sure about sizing or placement? Ask and we'll make sure it's legible at print size.
Don't have artwork?
Tell us in your order notes. We can set up clean, professional layouts from your logo, photo, and message — and party-themed design presets are coming soon. You'll approve a proof before anything prints.
